Anthony Timiraos (Tony)
Born in Havana, Cuba, I currently reside in South Florida with my husband who has been by my side for the past 46 years. I began my professional career as a Certified Public Accountant in Hartford, CT and subsequently moved to Boston, MA. Another move to New York City in the late 1980's to become the Chief Financial Officer for a market research company in Manhattan and worked with management to list the company in the American Stock Exchange. Shortly after my first retirement in 1997, I acquired, with my husband, a piece of real estate in Stamford, CT and opened a 250 seat restaurant and catering facility which we subsequently sold in 2000, retired again and made a move to South Florida in the middle of the 2003 summer.
Shortly after arriving in South Florida, I came out of retirement (again) and accepted a position as the Chief Financial Officer for a 650 passenger casino cruise ship. Subsequently, I joined a large South Florida community foundation as their Chief Financial Officer. In 2011, together with four other philanthropists, I founded and became the Chief Executive Officer and President of another community foundation serving the LGBT community.
My love for photography began in my early college years. Always trying to capture that moment in time that describes my life, my views, my heart. Photography is my creative escape. I am always looking for models to photograph in my studio and currently working on a "coffee table" book about nudes.
